Suspension calcination technology is widely applied in the cement, alumina, and refractory materials industries. With the advancement of industrial technology and the increasing demand from lime, magnesite (magnesia), and phosphate enterprises for calcination technology of small particles ranging from 0 to any particle size, there is a strong demand for new types of kilns to improve resource utilization. Additionally, the requirements for larger kiln production capacities, more stable operation, and lower fuel consumption are also gradually increasing. Therefore, the successful development of large-scale suspension decomposition kiln technology is timely.

The thermal flow suspension decomposition kiln calcination system mainly consists of a five-stage cyclone preheater separator, a first-stage calcination reactor, and a second or third-stage cyclone cooler separator. It is an integration, improvement, and reconfiguration of the existing multi-stage preheater of the cement rotary kiln.

In the suspension kiln, various equipment are arranged vertically, which reduces the land occupation compared to the rotary kiln. Compared with traditional kilns, it narrows the particle size of the feed material and homogenizes the differences in particle size, making the decomposition more energy-efficient and complete. The overburn rate is lower, and the decomposition rate of limestone in the thermal flow suspension decomposition kiln is measured in seconds, ensuring higher reactivity.
